First Aired: March 2002 on ABC
Created by: Mike Fleiss
Hosted by: Chris Harrison
Bachelor TV Show is one of the first reality shows on ABC. One lucky man chooses
between 25 women for the opportunity to find true love. I find it quite interesting that
so many personal situations can be caught on camera to be viewed on national television.

Entertain Your Brain

I've tried to write a review of the TV show "the Bachelor" several times now. I would always get approximately two sentences in, and would suddenly become so disgusted with the representatives of my gender in the show that I could write no more.

Pop Matters
With all due deference to Beauty and the Geek's marketing campaign, "reality dating show" and "social experiment" are not mutually exclusive terms. Both are key components of the Bachelor franchise, now celebrating its eighth round of disappointment, rejection, and "romance" on ABC.
