CSI TV Show is about murder investigation. Since it premiered on CBS, CSI was a huge success and quickly took the top spot on prime time television. CSI uses graphic images to display clues of the investigation process. Viewers seem to like and accept intimate autopsies and internal views of traumatized flesh, bone, and sinew. Set in Las Vegas, whose reputation for providing instant success for those willing to try their luck, CSI finds that the constant influx of visitors to the city that never sleeps also provides prime targets for criminals of all varieties.

Reviews of CSI TV Show

Pop Matters When CSI: Crime Scene Investigation debuted on CBS in the fall of 2000, it arrived with more of a whisper than a scream. Despite the fact that it was being executive produced by action film guru Jerry Bruckheimer, it received little advance buzz and critics gave it a slim chance at success as it squared off on Thursday evenings... But with its skillful blend of drama, suspense, humor and realistic storylines, CSI quickly became the most watched drama in the country, knocking ER from its perch. Stephen Kelly

Need Coffee CSI is the shit right now. It went toe-to-toe against NBC’s Must See Thursday and came out on top, it rivals Law & Order in generating popular spin-offs, and through computer video graphics made blood spatter and gun shot residue sexy and exciting. Add to that the Sodom and Gomorrah of the Southwest, Las Vegas, as a backdrop and you got yourself a ratings juggernaut. In its fourth season, our band of criminalists, while examining corpses and semen stains, have some personal issues to deal with. Scott C.

Amazon The second season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation consolidates the show's well-deserved popular appeal, while beginning to explore (gently at first) beneath the slickly professional surface of the investigators themselves. Gradually we learn more about what makes Grissom and his astonishingly gifted forensics team tick, beyond merely that they are workaholics who seem to require no sleep at all. Mark Walke
