Reviews of ER Season 1 DVD
|
DVDivas
ER is a fast-paced television show created by Michael Crichton to highlight life in hospital emergency rooms.
The first season of the episode introduces all of the characters and carries them through some of the initial
plots, including the loss of Dr. Benton's (Eriq La Salle) mother and Nurse Hathaway's aborted marriage
(Julianna Margulies).

DVD Review
A highly popular, well-reviewed and influential ensemble drama, "E.R." still
stands as one of (few) remaining quality television programs on-air as it nearly
reaches its tenth year. The show was created by author Michael Crichton,
who graduated from Harvard Medical School and spent time at Massachusetts General Hospital.

DVD Verdict
ER did not want to be a modern-day Quincy or even a redux of St.
Elsewhere, the popular and groundbreaking hospital series from 1982.
It wanted to be a whole other animal, a show that dared to show doctors
who got tired, made mistakes, and regretted their decisions from time to time.
In other words, it wanted to show the real emergency room experience, the good and the bad.

Need Coffe
This is the show that galvanized viewers across America when it first hit back in 1994--for
good reason. Those long-time readers know that I don't have the luxury of watching a lot of
television--but I do remember catching some episodes of this thing when it debuted--and it was
some dynamite.
