Rules of Engagement TV Show is a comedy about two couples and their single friend deal with the complications of dating, relationships and marriage. It looks at different relationships in different stages, starring Oliver Hudson and Bianca Kajlich as newly engaged sweethearts, Patrick Warburton and Megyn Price as a long-married couple and David Spade as their still-single friend. As they find out, the often confusing stages of a relationship can seem like being on a roller coaster. People can describe the ride to you, but to really know what it’s like you have to experience it for yourself.
Post Gazatte Do you watch Fox’s “Til Death?” Probably not, given that show’s anemic ratings. But if you do, then you’ve already seen CBS’s “Rules of Engagement,” a barely amusing comedy that trods the same tired terrain and adds David Spade for good measure. Rob Owen
EW.com CBS’ latest offering to the genre, follows two couples. One pair, Adam and Jennifer, has just gotten engaged. Sooooo one duo still has lots of sex and the other, less. It’s funny because it’s true! Gillian Flynn
Pop Matters The opening titles for The Rules of Engagement are soundtracked by Los Lonely Boys’ “Heaven,” which should tell you all you need to know about the new CBS show. “Heaven” is a soft, office-radio kind of song, neither too noisy nor too boring to annoy anyone. Todd R. Ramlow
