Seinfeld TV Show was probably the most popular
comedy TV show of the nineties. It seemed to connect with the
nothingness of every day life. Maybe the reason it was so funny,
is that everyone could relate to at least a few episodes. The last
few seasons were the best, but can not be fully enjoyed unless you
watch the beginning seasons to understand the weird and hilarious
behaviors of Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer.

Reviews of Seinfeld TV Show
|
Washington Post
If you've caught early episodes of "Seinfeld" in syndication, you already know the show doesn't consistently elicit big laughs until its third season, featured on the second volume of this two-volume collection. Even Seinfeld himself acknowledges the spotty quality of the initial installments: "That was really like a school play, wasn't it?"
Jen Chaney
New York Times
The famous "show about nothing", NBC's Seinfeld is regarded by many fans as the best network sitcom of the 1990s; some go farther than that, hailing it as the best sitcom ever. The series grew from the free-association monologues of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who in partnership with producer Larry David launched the program in a limited-run format beginning May 31, 1990.

Using a fine blend of a comedy series within a comedy, Seinfeld was one of the biggest and most watched sitcom’s of the 90’s. Though perhaps not carrying quite the same weight as Friends and Frasier, it was still hugely popular and holds many of its own unique personalities. To this day it stands as a fine collection of classic American comedy and has won countless awards across the board. It was superbly written and elaborately hilarious in its day, but has it withstood the cruel test of time that so often tarnishes certain series?

DVD Talk
One of the most popular sitcoms of all times, "Seinfeld" probably would not have lasted had it aired today. However, NBC was able to see a small cult audience gathering around the show when the pilot first aired in 1989, and although the first couple of seasons didn't exactly light up the ratings - or were they the best moments of the series - the sitcom eventually began to gather some serious steam.
