Reelviews Samuel L. Jackson is on record as saying this movie isn't for critics. He's right about that. The problem is, it's not for many other people, either. Unless they're stoned. Or drunk. The Boston Globe Given the truly profligate amount of hype that has preceded it, both online and in what passes for the real world, a movie called "Snakes on a Plane" had better be one of two things: So bad it's good or so good it's great. Darned if it isn't a little bit of both. Ty Burr

San Francisco Chronicle "Snakes on a Plane" will never land on "Sight & Sound's" Best Films of All Time list, and, though it's unfair, the American Film Institute will probably never include "I've had it with these mother -- snakes on this mother -- plane" among its roster of great movie quotations.
