Is there no one to step forward and simply say that Heather Locklear's character in "The Perfect Man" is mad? I will volunteer. Locklear plays Jean Hamilton, a woman whose obsessive search for the "perfect man" inspires sudden and impulsive moves from one end of the country to another, always with her teenage daughter Holly and Holly's 7-year-old sister, Zoe.

The Perfect Man is so imperfect that it may qualify as one of the summer's worst movies. It's hard to say who is more insipid, the overrated Hilary Duff or the lackluster Heather Locklear.

"The Perfect Man" offers nothing new to the formula aside from a lot of contrived plot developments and a dumbed-down script by Gina Wendkos.

What sin did Heather Locklear commit to deserve her role in The Perfect Man? The former Melrose Place vixen is now old enough to portray Hilary Duff's mom, which in Hollywood counts as sin enough.
