The Unit TV Show cost over a million dollars to make - per episode. Based on former commando
book "Inside Delta Force" the Unit is about a special team that doesn't technically exist. It
removes hostiles,remains quiet, and is funded under the radar. Plenty of special affects add
to the shows reality. "The Unit" is really about killing terrorists here and abroad with as
much precision and gusto as the post September 11th world demands.

San Francisco Chronicle
Although it's easy to be upset when CBS kills a drama like "Love Monkey," proving it can't do much outside of middle-of-the-road sitcoms and gritty police procedurals, it's hard to fault the network for playing to its strengths. Otherwise we wouldn't have "The Unit" to enjoy.

I haven't had cable since 1992, so that hasn't been an issue. I'm glad to know I will be able to block out programs should I ever choose to get it. However, what I would like is for my kids to not be able to turn the TV on at all during certain hours. For example, as when they get home from school before I get home from work.
