Critic Reviews of Two and A Half Men TV Show

Entertain Your Brain This show is up there with NBC’s “Happy Family” as two of the best new sitcoms this season. Sheen and Cryer have already proven on countless occasions their knack for comedy, and this show is just the latest example. Sheen’s chemistry with Jones is great, and the kid comes off acting like a regular kid instead of like a “sitcom kid.” Shawn McKenzie

Pop Matters But what does one make of CBS's Two and a Half Men? Certainly its premise is nothing new, just a lazy remix of The Odd Couple and Bachelor Father or perhaps A Family Affair. In this version, after his wife throws him out, neurotic dad Alan (Jon Cryer) moves in with his sloppy bachelor brother Charlie (Charlie Sheen), dragging with him his cute, precocious son Jake (Angus T. Jones). Cary O'Dell

Helium Two and a Half Men," which first aired in 2003, is without a doubt the best comedy on CBS. It's a great family comedy that can get laughs from all ages. The acting is great. The writing is great. Everything about this show proves that it will last for a long, long time. Derek Graff
